we asked for a quiet room as we have a young child and we were very happy with the roon allocated to us as it opened out onto the garden terrace and it was quiet and peaceful. the hotel is on the edge of a small village with a small number of restaurants and a bar and some shops.staff are friendly and efficient.we would definitely go back!
My room was extremely cosy and the hotel quiet...I had a very relaxing time. Breakfast was my morning highlight for the choice of healthy options.Simply a very pleasant place to stay.
Good comfortable room, made to feel very welcome it was only a brief stay of one night so don't feel I can make may comments.
All good not much selection for breakfast and the cooked breakfast took a long time to come.
It was in a convenient location and the rates were reasonable compared with other hotels in the locality. It was value for money/no 'frills' accommodation (fairly basic and I thought the room was not as good a standard as those at Travel Inns).
Insufficient parking - I had to park in the road round the corner. The staff could have been more welcoming. The room (single) and the shower were both quite small.
Breakfast, nice and quaet location
Very good value for money. Facility was clean, and staff were very friendly and helpful. Very accommodating as they waited up for us to check in late after checking in time. The rooms were as shown on website.
Our room was very cold. Heating had not been turned on.
Easy to find location, helpful staff, clean rooms and comfy beds. Thoroughly nice budget hotel - good value and decent breakfast
Breakfast took 20 minutes to arrive
Close to the Wellington aollehe, reachable on foot
room was clean and tidy and felt at home
The hotel was local to where we were meeting with friends, so was ideally situated and suited our purpose.
Very poor ensuite facilities low pressure, shower, hardlyb any water coming out of cold tap. Poor quality tv set, Manager/owner was very polite and obliging, but he should not have let a room out with such poor facilities.
We have travelled to various parts of the world over the last few years and stayed in top class hotels in India, China, Egypt, Turkey etc as well as in Great Britain and can honestly say that the Dial House Hotel Proprietor and his staff match any of them. When was the last time you arrived at the hotel in the rain and the proprietor came to meet you at your car with an umbrella? Absolutely brilliant and would wholly recommend the Dial House Hotel to anyone. Excellent value for money as well! Great breakfast and good dinner menu.
Was delighted on arrival to be greeted by member of staff to carry my luggage.my single room though a bit quirky in shape was perfectly adequate with excellent internet connection.the bathroom was sparkling with a very good shower. Breakfast was fine and I will definatley return when next in the area.
The Dial House is a pleasant, clean, conveniently situated hotel with helpful and good staff.
Very convenient to visit Wellington College, very nice people, clean and pretty comfortable.
Our room was on the side of the road and we found it quite noisy as there is quite a lot of traffic on Duke Street (we are not very used to traffic noise); not much water pressure at the top floor.
